Making pediatric care accessible to every family.
We’re a small, focused health technology company with one mission — give parents a way to get a clinician’s perspective from home, no matter where they live.
We’ve lived the uncertainty.
Wondering if a late-night fever meant a trip to the ER, only to be told everything looked fine. Most of the time, nothing changed — we just had to wait and worry.
That’s why we created MamaBear Health: to give parents a simple way to track symptoms and get a clinician’s perspective from home — offering clarity when it’s needed most.
Our mission is to make high-quality pediatric care accessible — no matter where families live. We’re focused on early childhood illness, with secure, EHR-integrated tools that help parents and clinicians track symptoms, communicate clearly, and make smarter decisions, faster.
We’re proud to be backed by federal innovation funding through the USDA and to partner with providers who believe rural and underserved communities deserve the same real-time, evidence-based care as anyone else.
MamaBear lets you capture symptoms in real time — and get treatment for your child sooner. I made multiple ER visits with my son because I couldn’t prove to our pediatrician what I saw at home.

The only app of its kind.
MamaBear guides parents through a structured symptom check-in — capturing breathing videos, fever trends, exposures, and activity context — and delivers it securely to the clinician’s inbox. No live appointment. No waiting room.
Validated in low-bandwidth rural environments down to 1–2 Mbps. Compatible with Epic, Cerner, and any EHR with a secure inbox. Billable under existing CMS store-and-forward codes from day one.
Why Loon Medical?
MamaBear Health is developed by Loon Medical, LLC — a Minnesota-based health technology company named after the loon, the Minnesota state bird. The loon is known for its distinctive call across quiet northern lakes and its ability to dive deep and resurface — a fitting metaphor for the kind of care we’re building: quiet, reliable, and always there when it matters.
See it. Treat it. Track it.
