Marie Johnson, PhD — CEO & Founder – Elected to the 2025 AIMBE College of Fellows — among the top 2% of medical and biological engineers in the country — Dr. Johnson holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and brings 25 years of product development experience across Fortune 500 companies and academic research. She founded Loon Medical to build the technologies that make high-quality healthcare possible at home, for every family, regardless of zip code.
Paolo Pianosi, MD — Clinical Advisor & Founder – Dr. Pianosi is a board-certified Pediatric Pulmonologist and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, with prior appointments at the Mayo Clinic, Dalhousie University, and King’s College Hospital in London. His research on respiratory physiology and pediatric asthma directly shaped MamaBear’s approach to symptom capture and early intervention.
Raymond Gonzalez — CTO & Founder — Raymond is a full-stack mobile engineer with over a decade of experience building production apps in Flutter, React Native, and Node.js, including systems that handle more than 10,000 concurrent users. He has architected APIs, led mobile teams, and driven test coverage from near-zero to production-grade at companies including Outfront Media in New York, bringing that same engineering discipline to MamaBear’s HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
Joe Thayer — Lead Mobile Developer Joe brings six years of hands-on Flutter/Dart development experience and built the MamaBear app from the ground up — architecting the codebase, HIPAA-compliant data flows, and the video capture experience parents rely on. Colleagues describe his code as clean and precise, with a rare instinct for solving problems before they surface.
That’s why we created MamaBear Health: to give parents a simple way to track symptoms and get a clinician’s perspective from home—offering clarity when it’s needed most.
