For Parents:
You can choose to send a secure weblink to your child’s Check-In report directly to your provider. You’ll receive an email with a button to open your child’s report. Before you can view it, you’ll need to enter the access code provided in the same email. If the button doesn’t work, you can also copy and paste the link into your internet browser and enter the access code.— This link opens the report in a secure web browser. You can send unlimited reports during that time. Each report is automatically emailed to you and sent to your child’s electronic medical record via the medical messaging function.
Before sending, you’ll be guided through:
- Signing a short electronic consent form for each report you send (HIPAA requires you to sign each time you send a report)
- Logging into your EHR (if applicable) so MamaBear can transmit the link on your behalf
MamaBear never accesses your EHR. The link is sent securely, following HIPAA guidelines, and all transmissions are one-way and encrypted.
For Providers:
You may receive a link to a Check-In report via: a Medical Message within your EHR system, or an email from the parent or clinic account.
The secure link opens the report in a web browser for easy review. It includes structured symptom data, relevant exposures, and contextual information (e.g., timing, treatments, and 15-second video). You may request follow-up Check-ins to review the outcome of your treatment and to follow the patient over time.
This helps providers:
- Quickly assess whether follow-up is needed
- Prioritize cases based on severity or progression
- Reduce unnecessary visits while improving documentation
The goal is to streamline your decision-making process by delivering key insights—before the patient arrives or in place of a visit.
